I received an email from Zapier asking me to upgrade my Humanitix connection from version 2.0.16 to 2.1.0. On the setup tab I was able to select:
App = Humanitix API
Trigger Event = New Order
Account = I updated the connection to Humanitix and tested that it worked.
On the “Configure” tab, NOTHING appears in the Events field and there’s a message “No options available”
I can successfully test the Zap without an Event specified, BUT the Zap fails to publish asking me to reconnect the account (which I’ve done a couple of times) and tells me that the App version was updated (duh, that’s why I’m here)
Any ideas? I would love some help because the API is deprecated and cutoff is May 14.
Hi @Kaffy
Try this tip for connecting app accounts:
Thanks Troy,
After testing a little further it appears that the connection is being terminated after every use. If I test the connection, it works once, then I have to reconnect again.
I got around this by reconnecting, getting back into the Zap and publishing without further testing. That seemed to work but I have no confidence that the first time the Zap is used by a customer that the connection won’t be terminated again.
I’m playing a waiting game now because I can’t activate the Zap using Humanitix without spending money I don’t have on an event I don’t want to go to. :(

Hey there, @Kaffy! 👋
I see that you reached out to our Support team and they identified that you’re running into a bug with the New Order trigger, where no events are loaded in the Events field. We can’t give any estimate as to when the developers of the Humanitix app will be able to get this fixed by but, as the Support have added you to the notification list for it, you’ll be sure to get an email from us as soon as it’s been resolved.
In the meantime, I did see that there were some reports that using the custom value option to enter the ID for the order event in the Events field allowed the correct event to be selected. That said, it likely wouldn’t help to resolve the other issue you’re facing where the connection to Humanitix only seems to work for a short time.
Are you seeing any error messages when you’re prompted to reconnect your Humanitix account? Asking as I did some digging and found another bug report for an issue with new account connections that were getting “Internal Server Error” errors, so it could be that what you’re running into is a symptom of that bug I found. 🤔
Looking forward to hearing from you!
Hi SamB,
I have attached the message I receive when I reconnect to Humanitix. As you can see, no errors. I will see if I can track down the ID for the order event and see if that works.
Cheers,
Kerry

Hi again,
I checked out the Zap using the currently operating Humanitix API version 2.0.16. No event was selected because all we are doing is passing details of a subscriber to MailerLite. This means that my issue is not about the list of events not appearing (even though the list doesn’t appear).
My issue is that every time the Humanitix API 2.1.0 connection is used, it then disconnects.
Cheers,
Kerry
Thanks for getting back to me, @Kaffy. Instead of reconnecting the existing connection, can you try creating a brand new connection to see if that allows it to persist?
It looks like the developers of the Humanitix app have made changes to the way the authentication is handled in the latest version of their app. Are you reconnecting a connection that was initially created for the older version of the app?
If so, I wonder if that might be causing an issue due to the difference in how the authentication is handled. In which case, can you try creating a brand new connection instead of reconnecting?
Keep me posted on how that goes!
Hey @Kaffy, just circling back in here to confirm that the bug that our Support team added you has been fixed. So it should be possible to select the events in the New Order trigger again now. 🎉
Can you give it a try and confirm that’s definitely the case, and keep us updated on how you get on with the authentication issue? Keen to ensure this gets sorted!
Hi SamB,
In answer to your first question, the first thing I did when trying to get the new Zap working was to create a new connection to Humanitix. I never used the old one with the new API. I think I am up to connection #5 now. The old connection was #2.
In answer to the second question, yes, I can now see the events.
Cheers,
Kaffy
Look at that SamB,
I created yet another connection (#7) to Humanitix and now I have successfully published the Zap after testing it. I will check back in a couple of days (this Zap gets activated about twice per week) to ensure that the connection doesn’t get terminated the first time it is used.
Cheers,
Kaffy
Thanks for the updates here, @Kaffy. 🤗 I’m so pleased you’ve been able to publish the Zap and the connection seems to be persisting. Please do keep us posted on how it performs over the next few days, want to make sure it’s definitely sorted!
Hi SamB,
It appears that the issue is resolved. The Zap ran 11 hours ago and the connection is still live. Thanks for your support.
Cheers,
Kaffy
