Hi, I have a zap set up to add leads in Kartra when they schedule an event in my Calendly. Zapier is reporting that the Zap is running fine, and I can see the run history of the zap. Problem is, these contacts are not being added to my Kartra list which I have just figured out! 

When I look at the zap, the only thing I can see is that the data out is blank. 

Any suggestions for how to fix this for a non-techie?

Before we dig deeper into this, would you mind sharing a detailed screenshot of how your Zap is configured — especially the Kartra part? Also, please provide a screenshot of the “Data In” tab in Kartra.

Hi ​@Sync9-Solutions  - thanks for your reply. Is this what you mean in the screenshot attached? Where would I find the ‘Data In’ Tab in Kartra? I just see Zapier listed as an Integration.

Just wanted to ask—when you click the “Subscribe Lead to List” field, does it display a dropdown of options? And do those options have IDs shown below them?

If they do display options with IDs below. You can try adding a Formatter by Zapier node just before the Katra node.

  1. Set it up so that your action event is “Utilities”.
  2. On the Configure tab, choose “Lookup Table” for the Transform field.
  3. For the Lookup Key field, map the desired value from your Calendly node.
  4. In the Lookup Table field, copy the values shown in the dropdown options in the “Subscribe Lead to List” field . The left part should be the values and the right part is the IDs.

Example shown below for the dropdown options with IDs.


Example below show how you configure the Lookup Table field in the Formatter node.
 


After this, map the Output from the Formatter in your Katra’s “Subscribe Lead to List” field. It should display the ID of the option.

Thanks ​@Sync9-Solutions  yes it does display the dropdown options of different lists with the ID’s attached. I don’t know what “adding a formatter” is. Where would I find this? I am using a free Zapier account. 

You can search for it, it should be available on the free plan. However, the free plan is limited to two-step Zaps only.

 

Ok I got feedback from Kartra that there is a missing step, that I need to add an additional level in the Zap to “create lead” first as adding to list can only happen once the lead is first created - for anyone else having this issue.
