I have used Zapier before to sync our appointments in Acuity/Squarespace with Basecamp. We have just moved to Basecamp 4 and the sync is not working properly.

In Basecamp, the appointment sync is coming through on the day the customer makes the appointment versus what the actual appointment date is. For example, Customer makes an appointment for Wed 5/22/24 but instead of showing up on Wed 5/22/24, the appointment is showing up today.

The sync works but the dates are wrong. I’ve checked the time zone on all 3 (Zapier, Basecamp, Acuity) and they are all on EST/GMT -4:00 for EST.

Hi @Yeyeo Botanica

To help us have more context, post screenshots with how your Zap steps are outlined and configured in EDIT mode.

Im not sure what you are asking for but here is how it’s set up:

The zap is “working”, the entries from acuity will go to basecamp.
The issue is that the appointment is not showing up in basecamp on the date the appointment is schedule for.

Example again: Customer makes an appointment for Friday 5/24/24 but it showing up today 5/21/24, NOT on the day the customer actually wants the appointment.

@Yeyeo Botanica

You’ll want to add spaces between the mapped variables and possibly static labels before each mapped variable.

Start At might have the timestamp of when the appointment was created, rather than the timestamp for when the appointment is scheduled.

Ends At likely expects a datetime value rather just a time value.

I thought so and tried to change it to Date of Appointment, still same result. What else should i try in the date field?

@Yeyeo Botanica

Starts At field likely expects a timestamp (date and time), not just a date.

Ends At field likely expects a full timestamp (date and time), not just a time.

Formatter > Date & Time > Format can be used to adjust the format of dates/times.

Can you explain what you mean about a timestamp?

@Yeyeo Botanica

A timestamp value has both a date and time.

Help article about date/time fields: https://help.zapier.com/hc/en-us/articles/8496259603341-Different-field-types-in-Zaps#h_01H96NFYDFX1H4DGG8X3TQ5FQF

Supported date/time formats

Zapier tries to interpret any date or time you provide. For example, all of the following date formats are supported:

  • tomorrow at noon
  • next Friday at 7PM (Friday of the next week, not the current week)
  • 2/13/2020 8PM EST
  • 2020-10-26T16:56 (standard ISO format)
  • 1393462573 (a UNIX timestamp)

Hi @Yeyeo Botanica.

Hey there! We want to make sure everything is going smoothly for you.

Have you tried Troy's recommendation at this point? If so, is there anything else we can help you with regarding your Zap?

We're excited to work with you on this and can't wait to hear back from you!
