Hello,

I’m using the NEW EMPLOYEE trigger in BambooHR to create a GitLab issue.  However, even though the field “Job Title” is available in the field selection box, nothing populates when I run the test.

Also, I want to add the “Manager” field from the Job table, but it’s not listed as an option for the NEW EMPLOYEE trigger.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

Hi @aisha.leach

Things to check/try:

  • Make sure to test with an example that has that field value populated
    • Some Zap app triggers only return representative record data
  • Try testing with the Zap turned ON

Thank you.  I tested the Zap while it was turned on, but it still did not load.  The Job Title and Reports To fields are in a table, which I believe is the only difference from the other available New Employee fields.

Hi there, @aisha.leach 👋

I did some checking and found a bug report for an issue where the New Employee trigger isn’t returning details for all the expected fields (Job Title, Department, Location, etc.). While we can’t provide a timeline for a fix, I’ve added you to the bug report as an affected user, so you’ll be notified via email as soon as it’s resolved.

In the meantime, could you try adding a Find Employee (BambooHR) search action to your Zap to see if that pulls in the missing details?

If you give that a try, let us know how it goes—want to make sure you’re all set!

The Find Employee function didn’t add the missing data.

Thank you!

Hi @aisha.leach,

We sincerely apologize if “Find Employee” in BambooHR didn’t work as a workaround. We’ll update you on the bug report once it’s available.

Hi all, I’m please to report that the bug has been fixed! 😁🎉

Thanks so much for your patience on this. It should be pulling in the missing employee data now, but if you’re still experiencing issues please reach back out to the Community or get in touch with Support

In the meantime, happy Zapping! ⚡️
