I’m having quite a hard time figuring out what exactly I’m supposed to put in this attachment box below to get a PDF file to send in this gmail email zap.
I’ve done research and this is the best info I found below but I still can’t make out what I’m supposed to do, any assistance would be very appreciated.
Thanks

Nevermind, I have figured out a solution but am met with yet another problem.
I uploaded the file to Dropbox and just copy > pasted the Dropbox link to the attachment box. The email sends with the PDF file attached but the file does not open and is corrupted. Please advise?
Hey @HTE happy to help here! When you click into the “Attachments” field to select data from your previous step, are you typing in the download URL and adding the file ID from the previous step to the end of the URL? That should do the trick!
Otherwise, it looks like you may be having some internet connectivity issues that are preventing your file from being previewed and I wonder if that has resulted in a partial download/broken file?
Sending a screenshot of how you have things typed into your “Attachments” field would be super helpful in continuing to troubleshoot this for you.

Can you please give that a try and let me know how it works out?
There is no “?id=” in my link that I copied from the Google Drive file?
I can share the link if you’d like...
Hi @HTE - that certainly is strange. I see that you have been chatting with Joseph on our Support team and it seems you were able to run a successful Zap!
If you are still having trouble with this one, feel free to share a screenshot with Joseph on your initial Support thread so that they can continue digging in to troubleshoot!
Zap was not successful, still the same issue. Joseph has abandoned me
Hey @HTE!
Let’s see if we can get you up and running here :)
I tested this and it worked for me:
In Google Drive make sure the file has the Anyone with the link permission
Copy the link
Take the part between d/ and /view (that’s the file ID) and insert it into:
