My issue is regarding setting up zaps to Asana.

When setting up it a zap to an existing project it requires I select a ‘section’. However the field remains blank (doesn’t load any sections from Asana project) event though there are sections for the project in Asana.
It will not allow me to progress with the zap without selecting a section.

Has anyone else come across this?

It’s a fatal error for me as its preventing me from creating Zaps to Asana.

Hi @Jpyn451

For us to have more context, post screenshots with how your Zap step is configured in EDIT mode.

@Jpyn451

The mapped variables for the Task ID field are not a valid Asana Task ID value.

Thank you @Troy Tessalone

looking back I think I misunderstood the event context.

Thanks for your speedy response :)

That’s awesome @Jpyn451! A huge thanks to Troy for pointing you in the right direction!

Need similar help.

When I set up the Action to Add Task to Section of Project in Asana, it connects to my Asana Workspace, and finds the Project I want.
But... It will not find any of the sections.  Nothing comes up, and I have refreshed many times.

Also, I do not know what to put as the Task ID??

See attached Screenshot.

FYI - I did look at the link Troy sent JPYN451, but I don't understand how that applies.
I need a bit more explanation please.

Thanks in Advance.
Jack

Hi @JackZ,

Welcome to the Community.

If you can't find sections in Asana, ensure they exist in the selected project and try reconnecting your Asana account in Zapier to refresh the data. If issues persist, contact support. The Task ID is a unique identifier for tasks in Asana—automatically generated for new tasks but required for modifying existing ones. If a link was shared, it likely provided guidance on structuring your Zap or using Asana features.

I hope this helps. Feel free to ask if you need further assistance.
