Alpaca paper trading account setup issues

I am using Alpaca app and have both paper  / live account .

However when I try setting up a connection only for  Paper trading account it will not allow me unless I select both.

 

Secondly it sets the default to Live account and does not allow changing it to paper account

Hey there I am having the exact same issue. I connected my alpaca account but it won't let me use paper account it automatically takes my real account I wanted to test out my strategy on paper account first but it's not working unfortunately.

Hi guys, 

 

Zapier's Alpaca integration only supports live trading accounts, as Alpaca's API doesn't differentiate between live and paper trading accounts for third-party app connections. To test your strategy without making trades, consider setting up a Zap to send email notifications when trigger conditions are met, allowing you to track your strategy without executing trades in a live account.
