I’m having problems with a Zap that is meant to add a new user to a Learndash course. I’ve connected Zapier to Learndash successfully, but when I test the Zap I get the following error message:

The error happens even when I manually populate every available field - username, display name, email, first name, last name, all with the right name/email typed in not pulled from another Zap step.

Any ideas?

In order for us to have more context about the error, post screenshots showing how your Zap step is configured in EDIT mode so we can see the field mappings.

Things to check/try:

  1. Click the Username field label to see a tooltip that may provide guidance about the expected value
    1. e.g. may not accept an email address
  2. Check the “Troubleshoot” tab for possible guidance
  3. Otherwise, try reaching out to Learndash Support for help with troubleshooting their Zap app integration.

 

 

Thanks Troy. All existing users on the system have email addresses as their usernames so that’s not the problem.

Install the Zapier Integration

Option 1: Add-ons Menu (requires an active LearnDash license)

  1. In your WordPress admin area, navigate to LEARNDASH LMS > ADD-ONS
  2. Locate the Zapier for LearnDash add-on
  3. Click Install Now
  4. Click the Activate Plugin button
