Hello, I am trying to hook up email parser aaction to upload an attachment (in the email) to dropbox, however every time I try to do a test action, I get the "unnamedfile.unknown" with contents of AWS error

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<Error><Code>AccessDenied</Code><Message>Access Denied</Message><RequestId>E14CE0C4EB37H0BD</RequestId><HostId>ohenlRNqvNHYy4uddhG57KPjfAiczizPYc8WvnVRRVElmT0vMbCTxL4jJA1deTP+SF+I70Qv0Mg=</HostId></Error>

It can’t be the dropbox permissions because the file ultimately gets uploaded to Dropbox
I think it breaks somewhere between Zapier → Mailparser as Zapier can’t download files from Mailparser for whatever reason.

This is the Dropbox step.

The Email Parser step is very barebones but it discovered the email I have sent to the email (I have also tried reconnecting to Mailparser multiple times and it didn’t help)

Hi @Screatch
Good question.

File objects are temp files and expire after some time. (e.g. 1 hour)

Try testing the Zap trigger step again to get a fresh email attachment to test with.

Otherwise, you can try opening a ticket with Zapier Support if you are using the Email Parser app as the Zap trigger: https://zapier.com/app/get-help

Check the Mailparser Status page for recent/ongoing incidents: https://status.mailparser.io/

I tried publishing step and sending email and get same problem, so unlikely its TTL

I am currently on free plan and unfortunately limited by community forum support only

@Screatch

Perhaps try this Zap trigger: Gmail - New Attachment

@Troy Tessalone Thanks, I guess it works for my use case but this all seem like a bug in Mailparser anyway. I have marked your answer as best answer here.

@Troy Tessalone

Worked during testing but when publishing it seems that Dropbox is not in the list of “approved apps” :/

@Screatch

You need to have a paid Business Gmail account to use in Zaps with certain other apps.

@Screatch

If you think it’s a bug with Mailparser, then try reaching out to Mailparser Support.
