Hi there,

We are experiencing a "404" error on any zap we try to create in order to configure data into Neon (Salesforce and Mighty Cause). We have paid for the premium Zapier account which should include creating zaps with these other apps.

The details Zapier shares with this error are copied below. We think the issue is with the Zap requiring an Account ID field. Since these systems don't share the same Account ID number, how are we supposed to populate this field in order for the Zap to work? We've tried identifying by First/Last Name fields or email fields, but it comes up with the same error. This is crucial for our donor database set up and would appreciate some help.

  • how your Zap steps are outlined
  • how your Zap steps are configured in the CONFIGURE tab while in EDIT mode with the field mappings visible
  • the encountered error

Are you not able to select the Account ID from the dropdown in Neon?

Some of the troubleshooting tips you can try-

  • Try deleting the connection and reconnecting the account
  • Reconfigure the Zap again after reconnecting
  • Reload the dropdown menu items

Does neon show any account ID options?

I can see that you also reached out to our Support team about and they replied with some steps on how to resolve this. Not sure if you’ve seen their email yet, but I wanted to share the details from their reply here in case it’s helpful to you or anyone else who comes across this in the future:

From what you've described, it sounds like the issue with the "404" error is stemming from the Account ID field in your Zap. This field is expecting a numeric ID of an account, rather than the first name, last name, or email which you are currently mapping.

Here's a step-by-step approach to resolve this:
 
1. Add a 'Find Account in NeonCRM' Step: After your trigger, insert this step to search for an account using the email address supplied by the trigger.
2. Retrieve the Account ID: This step will help locate the relevant account and provide its numeric ID.
3. Map the Correct ID: Use this ID in the 'Create Donation' step's Account ID field.
 
This should help align the data correctly and resolve the error you're encountering.
