Mailparser to Pipedrive not adding Person to deal

Hi all,

newbie to Zapier and clearly not very bright….

I’m trying to create a zap that takes parsed data from an email in mailparser and create a deal in Pipedrive, easy enough. But if the person doesn’t exist in Pipedrive (95% of the time it is a new lead), create a new person and add it to the deal.

The problem is, when a deal is created, a person isn’t attached to the deal.  I must be coding the fields wrong, please see below..

Should the Person be from the Find or Create Person option? and Should I search by name (because multiple people with the same name can exist) or email/phone number?  As I've tried each and still doesn’t work.

Hi Andrew, 

 

I just figured out the problem.  When searching for a name, you have to select “add search’ from here, then create the search function, which will then in-turn auto-populate the Person filed to Person id: n/a.

 

All working now after testing, but thanks for offering to help.
