Jotform to SharePoint Zap: Issue with multiple resubmissions

Good morning:

I have been testing an automation between Jotform and Sharepoint and overall, it’s working beautifully. For each new submission of my connected Jotform form, my connected Sharepoint spreadsheet receives a new row, as intended. It even works on *one* REsubmission of the same Jotform form. But for some reason, I can’t get it to work on a 2nd resubmission (3rd submission total) of that form, or any subsequent resubmission. The new information on the Jotform form simply doesn’t transfer to my Sharepoint sheet past that one resubmission.

If my Jotform user goes back into the form and edits the submission, I’d like Sharepoint to receive that new information per the zap. I’m curious if Zapier has for some reason limited Jotform resubmissions to just one or if there’s something I’m doing wrong.

Thanks for any help anyone has!

@Troy Tessalone - oh wow, thank you -- I didn’t know you could see the Row ID. It was working the whole time, just starting at row 1001. And now I know why! I had added a formula to the rows (thinking I could use that formula once the data came in), Zapier recognized all 1000 of those rows as having data, which is why it said the first “new” row would be 1001. Got it! Thanks, huge help!

Hi @grahamclark

That may be due to data deduplication in Zaps: https://help.zapier.com/hc/en-us/articles/8496260269965-Data-deduplication-in-Zaps

Thanks, @Troy Tessalone. It seems actually that I have a larger problem: both of my zaps have simply stopped working. When I go to edit the zap and test it, it says it’s sending a row to Excel but nothing shows in my document. How can I know find out why the zap would not be working? Tried logging out and back in on Zapier and no dice. Thank you,

Graham Clark

@grahamclark

Check your Zap app connections: https://zapier.com/app/connections

Check your Zap Runs history details to see the DATA IN/OUT for each step to help you trace the data below and troubleshoot: https://zapier.com/app/history/

That will show the Excel Row ID used.

@grahamclark

If you want to use formulas in rows, then consider using a different app, such as Airtable.
