Question

Zap not triggering when multiple updates made in 1 min

I have a zap that is triggered by an update to a row in Google Sheets. But when I update multiple rows at the same time within a time frame of like a minute, it doesn’t trigger all of them leaving gaps in my work. Yes, I could slow down in my spreadsheet and space out my updates but I would rather not slow down my work when automation is supposed to make me more efficient. I am wondering if there is another solution or an issue with my zap?

Its not a super complex zap. Would it be easier to break it out into multiple zaps with the same trigger but different paths?

Hi @l_buzzbee

The GSheets “instant” triggers are not actually instant.

Help that explains: https://help.zapier.com/hc/en-us/articles/21612033911437-Google-Sheets-triggers-aren-t-instant

The triggers for Google Sheets are unique among Zapier triggers.
It uses both polling and instant trigger methods.
This process takes about 3 minutes overall.

Hey @l_buzzbee, just checking in—did the Zap trigger for all the updated rows after the 3 minutes had passed, or is it still missing them?

Let us know if you still need any help, want to ensure you get this sorted! 🙂
