Question

Unable to Send Email Through Office365

AndyO

I have set up my Outlook/Office365 Account in Zapier, but when I try to test the Zap I get this error message:

Failed to create an email in Microsoft Outlook

Unable to send an email: The mailbox is either inactive, soft-deleted, or is hosted on-premise.

Did this topic help you find an answer to your question?

Hi @AndyO

Good question.

Error from Outlook indicates:

The mailbox is either inactive, soft-deleted, or is hosted on-premise.

Troy - yes, I see that, but none of those conditions exist that I can see.

The mailbox is active, it checks as working in the “associate” step, it is not deleted, it is O365 so it is not hosted on-premise… so why would it be returning this message?

@AndyO

Might be worth reaching out to your IT dept to ask them to check the settings.
