GitLab - Create an Issue - missing milestone and weight fields

Hi

I try to create GitLab issues from Trello cards.

All is fine, but Iwould like to specify the issue millestone and weight.
And I haven’t these fields in my zap settings.
Is there any way to set milestone and weight ?

Thanks

Hey @ChDUP, welcome to the Community! :)

I’ve done some digging and you’re right, it doesn’t look like it’s currently possible to specify the Milestone or Weight when creating an issue in GitLab. Your best bet here will be to reach out to the Support Team to get a feature request added for this.

In the meantime, you might be able to workaround this by using a Webhooks by Zapier step to connect to the GitLab API instead. This may allow you to create the issue and specify the milestone and weight for it. You can find out more about how to work with Webhooks in Zapier here: Send webhooks in Zaps

Hope that helps!

Hi

Thanks for your response.

But I’m not sure to understand.
If I use directly the Trello API and the GitLab API, what will be the Zapier interest ?

Hi@ChDUP

The way Zapier would be used is to connect the Trello integration and then use Webhooks by Zapier in order to access the GitLab API. it will be much easier to do it that way than to figure out how to connect Trello and GitLab. We aren’t able to walk you through the exact steps that you would take, but you could check out our Code and Webhooks forum to see if anyone might be able to help. Or, consider the Hire a Pro forum/our Zapier Experts directory if you’re willing to pay someone to help you set that up.
