How Do I Create a URL in a Google Slide (or even google docs)

I want to use a google slides (or docs) as a document generator for affiliates to create their lead magnets from our top converting content.

We will give them pre-designed PDFs that should have their affiliate URL in it…

So for example the affiliate would get a checklist that would offer a webinar at the bottom with an image “Click Here to Register Now” button.

Additionally I want to hyperlink specific parts of the text also replacing the standard URL with a unique URL to the affiliate.

To sum it up, I want to add embedded URLs into text and images on a google slide via the “Create Presentation from Template” zap and I don’t want the URL to show the URL in the page.

Hi @HawkMikado! I’m sorry for the delay in getting back to you on this one!

I’m afraid that it’s not currently possible to create links in in Google Slides using Zapier, sorry about that. We do have a feature request open for this and I've added you as another vote for this addition - we use these feature lists to prioritise updates to the integrations which we maintain. I don't have an ETA of when or if this will happen, but we will definitely email you if we add it in the future. :)

Zapier is able to ID that there is inside of Hyperlinked Text, Images, and Shapes - but when zapier creates the document it doesn’t replace it…

E.g. https://HawkMikado.com/{{merge}}

{{merge}} = 12345

Should update to https://HawkMikado.com/12345

but only updates what’s visible on the page it doesn’t update the actual hyperlink part.

I also tried using html

<a href="https://hawkmikado.com/12345">Click Here</a>

and <a href="https://hawkmikado.com/12345"><img src="smiley.gif"></a>

They just went in as text
