Schedule a weekly Zap

I want to send an email and post to a slack channel every week.  It’s not based on any status or transition in Jira but I want it to go out as a summary of the epics each week.

Is this possible?

Absolutely! Start here:

https://zapier.com/apps/schedule

then lookup Jira, and send to Slack

Hope that helps!

This is definitely moving in the right direction.

The next piece is to connect and pull a JQL list of tickets from our Jira board.

How do I connect and do this?

(Sorry, I’m new to Zapier)

Hi @bradley568,

Given the available search actions for Jira (Find Issue and Find User) I don’t think you’ll be able to accomplish this quite as easily. Instead, I think you might be looking at using something like a digest.

Zapier has a Digest app you can use: https://zapier.com/apps/digest/integrations. And you can learn more about how it works in our help docs. Can you take a look at that to see if it might be what you’re looking for?

Question: if something were to be added to the digest during the week, are there any circumstances under which you’d want to remove it from the digest?
