Clarification On Multiple Paypal IPNs

I understand these instructions:

https://zapier.com/help/doc/how-use-multiple-ipns-paypal

BUT

I’m not sure if I make a new zap for each piece of software I want to use?

For example:

I want to use that zap for my membership script, (amember.com) and then I want to also use it for Thrivecart.

Do I create the same zap twice?

I can only use ONE IPN url in paypal though.

I’m confused.

Hi @Will!

Thanks for checking out the Help Docs on this one - I’ll do my best to clarify.

If you’ve connected ThriveCart to PayPal directly using the IPN, you can use the Zapier ThriveCart integration to trigger from events in ThriveCart. For example you could trigger a Zap from a new Product Purchase in ThriveCart and use that to add someone to aweber.

If you also want to trigger a Zap directly from PayPal (ie unrelated to anything that happens in ThriveCart) then you’ll need to use the workaround described in the help guide to trigger a Zap from PayPal.

I hope that clears things up!
