Update a quickbooks customer when salesforce account is updated

Hello,

Does anyone know how to set a zap up so when someone updated an account name in Salesforce it updates the customer name in Quickbooks online?

Hey! Great question - and I can understand why this is quite a frequent question, as it’s not immediately clear that you have to take an extra step before you update the customer.

The flow should be as follows:

  1. Update field on account object - Where the field is “account name” and object is “account”
  2. Find the customer in Quickbooks
    1. Before you can update the customer, you need to ensure they exist
  3. Update the customer you found in step 2

(Optionally after step 1 you can add a filter based on your requirements)

Hope that helps!

Hi Andy,

So when I do that I get a roadblock on the third step. “Customize Updated Customer” has the required “Customer” and it’s saying I need to select the customer I want to update but is there a way that I can do a search for them at the time of update in salesforce?

Thanks.

Hey! I’m not sure what you mean. Please can you share a screenshot of your third step?
