RSS filter new URLs only

I would like to create a filter on the RSS feed to only continue if the URL is new to the site.

Currently, the RSS feed is pushing out all new posts and posts that have been edited. To get it to only push out new posts, I was thinking the Filter would help with the condition: “Only continue if… URL did not previously exist on the site.” Is there a way to create this filter. Or does anyone know another workaround to filter out post updates and only trigger the RSS action when a new post is newly published to the site for the first time?

Hi @AliCam

Good question.

You’ll have to log each of the URL somewhere to check against, such as a GSheet or Airtable Base.

Try this Zap logic...

Zap Steps

  1. Trigger: RSS
  2. Action: GSheet Lookup Row / Airtable Find Record
    1. Make sure to configure the step to continue if no result is found
  3. Action: Filter
    1. Condition: Does not exists
  4. Action: GSheet Create Row / Airtable Create Record
    1.
  5. Action: ???
