How to use bit.ly instead of Zapier link shortener?

I’m trying to use bit.ly as a link shortener instead of zapier native shortener - is there a way to do this?

Thanks

Hey! Yes, there is. You can just send the URL to Bit.ly:

Here’s a quick example of sending a URL from Airtable to Bitly which you can copy:

I’m not sure I understand - Can you give me something visual to show where you would like the link?

ok

the below tweets are generated using rss feeds. 1. from one rss feed tools that integrates bit.ly and 2. is from zapier rss feed zap. I wanna know how to achieve a bit.ly link using zapier rss tool?

1. https://twitter.com/TheLocalEurope/status/1253659414550253568

2. https://twitter.com/TheLocalItaly/status/1253661101868212225

I just want to be able to use bit.ly instead of zapier link shortener when posting from zapier rss tool.

Hi @MattH If you mean that you’d like the Zapier RSS feed to automatically use bit.ly links instead of Zapier shortened links, that’s not possible I’m afraid.

If you have a paid plan with Zapier (ie one that allows more than one action) then you could set up a Zap that shortens the link with bit.ly and then use the output of the link in the RSS feed step. So that would like a but like this:

  1. Trigger
  2. Bitly - Create Bitlink
  3. RSS by Zapier - Create Item in Feed
