Wordpress Integration - Payload Size error

I’ve just tried setting up my first Zap, hoping to post to Facebook and Instagram whenever I add a new post to my blog.

I’m hitting a snag pretty early on, so I’m hoping it’s quite simple for someone who’s knowledgeable to help me fix!

I’ve chosen the App & Event (Wordpress, New Post)
Chosen an Account (Wordpress Admin) (I’ve installed Zapier in Wordpress, but can’t see its setting anywhere, so at this point I returned to Zapier to continue setup)
Set up a Trigger (Post Status > Published, Post type> Posts)

But then I get ‘We Couldn’t find a Post’
Test ‘Trigger’ gives me a payload Error - Post could not be Found, Response payload size (17570195) exceeded maximum allowed payload size.

If I can get it working:
Will I be able to pull the featured image from the post as the main image? Will I be able to set custom text? Or the name of the blog? Or custom text that includes a ‘name of blog here’ section?

Thanks for the reply Troy.

I’ve just seen the first line that Zapier only installs if I’m on a paid plan on Wordpress.com?
I’ve self-installed WP on my own domain, and I’m not on any paid plan. Are you saying Zapier won’t work for me because of this? Or is this misleading, as I’ve definitely managed to install the plugin, and testing shows it has connected (Just can’t find a post)

Do let me know and I’ll stop looking any further!!

Thanks

WordPress can be a bit finicky since it can be so customized with other plugins potentially having a negative impact.

Sorry, I don’t have a definitive answer on what it may be.

You’ll likely have to tinker around a bit to try to isolate the issue.

I’ve followed all the steps to connect Zapier to Wordpress. Shows it can connect successfully but can’t find a new post. And my issue doesn’t seem to be on the common errors list either
