Not sure what your exact use case is here but if you’re wanting to dynamically update a card’s details based on the a Jira ticket’s label (or some other field value), then you might want to consider using a lookup table. A lookup table would allow you to automatically convert a value received from one app into the corresponding value to be used in another app. Check out our Create lookup tables in Zaps guide to learn more.

Alternatively, if it’s more that you’re wanting a different card to be updated based on the Jira ticket that’s triggering the Zap then you’d want to use a search action. Specifically, Trello’s Find Card search action to find the relevant card. Then, use an Update Card (Trello) action and in the Card field, select the custom option and map the ID for the card from the search action. Which should ensure that the correct card is updated.
