Facebook page post with multiple images to Discord

So I have several zaps set up to pull posts from multiple Facebook pages that I run and post about them in dedicated channels for each page on my Discord. Everything works fine when there’s a single image in the post - it shows my note about a new post to the page, includes the message text from the post, and has the image from the post.

But if the post includes multiple images, it doesn’t work right. It’ll still have the “new post to ‘Page A’” and the post’s message, but where the images should be I just get [Image]()

This is how I have the Discord side of things set up in the Zap. I’d get it if it showed just the first image, but I’m last as to why NONE of the images show when there’s more than one.

Hi friends,

I’m so sorry for the delayed response here and I appreciate the additional details here.

It looks like the Facebook Pages trigger only returns a single image in the payload. However, we have an existing feature request to return all of the images in an album. I have added you both to the feature request. We will keep you updated once the feature has been implemented.

I appreciate your patience and understanding.

But, I’m not trying to upload the images to Discord. I’m trying to embed multiple images that are part of the Facebook post and which are on Facebook’s servers. A post with a single embedded image works perfectly; this only happens when the Facebook post has more than one image.

Hi @CoreyB,

Thanks for getting back to me!

If there’s multiple images in the Facebook post, I believe we’ll need to use Formatter by Zapier - Split Text function to split the image URL and pass them correctly to Discord. You can learn more about the Split Text function here: https://help.zapier.com/hc/en-us/articles/25380258676109-Use-Formatter-to-split-text-in-Zaps

Kindly give it a try and let me know how it goes? I'll keep an eye out for your response!

I read that article, and I couldn’t make heads or tails of it. It may as well have been written in Farsi for all the sense it made to me. I don’t get what I’m supposed to be splitting or how when I look at a sample post that I made with two pics, as there’s only one Full Picture field showing as an option with only one link to one of the images.

Hey @ken.a,

I have a similar problem.
What I’m trying to update my portfolio page from a facebook post.

Imagine I post 6 images and text to a facebook post. How can I retrieve urls to those images?

Facebook Pages trigger gives you access to 1 attachment only (see the screenshot)

I would like to get an access to all attachments.

That’s exactly what I’m experiencing. Even using a Facebook post that definitely has at least two images in it, the zap is only returning a single image URL.

Though I would think that the subsequent Discord post would at least include the first image, but it doesn’t.
