Question

Refresh Google Sheet on creation

When creating a Zap I select a Google Sheets.

Then I could realize that I need to make some changes to the Sheet structure, Column names etc.

Whatever I do (refresh, unlink, refresh fields, delete the Zap restart from scratch…), Zapier is STUCK on a cached version or something. I never get the updated structure.

The only way I found is to delete my Google Sheet and link to a new one. Quite tedious.

Is this normal?

Good question.

Yes, that can happen.

Sometimes, you can use a different worksheet in the same GSheet to get around the issue.

I often advise clients to use Airtable instead of GSheets due to the limitations of using GSheets in Zaps.
