I'm trying to set up a zap that will post a Facebook live video to a YouTube channel for which I'm a manager, not an admin.

As mentioned, I'm trying to set up a zap that will post a Facebook live video to a YouTube channel for which I'm a manager, not an admin.

First snag - I don’t see a trigger for that under Facebook Pages.

Second snag - In trying to authenticate the account, I don’t see the YouTube channel - only my YouTube accounts (accounts for which I’m an Admin).  Must I be an admin instead of a manager on the Channel?

Thanks for your help!  -- Ken

Bad news for you I’m afraid:

  • There isn’t currently a Zapier trigger for new Facebook Live videos being posted.
  • Yes, you need to be Admin to post to the channel.

That’s what I was afraid of.

Thanks, Andrew.
