Testing Question

Im wondering when connecting a zap between our estimating software to our email for follow up emails a few days later. Knowing that it pulls the relevant example from the program to use for a test, does an actual follow up email get sent out to the example e-mail? For example, I set up a zap to send out a follow up email 3 days later after sending the estimate for landscaping work. But we had gotten a copy of the follow up email sent and it shows the test email (being one of our old prospects that didnt go with the work). Hope this makes sense. Thanks

If the Zap step test was successful, then the provided test data would have been used to perform the live action.

For example, if you have a Gmail Send Email step, and you input your email address, then test that step, you will receive the email.

Hi @Rooted Landscape

Good question.

Yes testing a Zap action step will perform the function using the supplied test data, which may be real data from the Zap trigger or previous Zap action steps.

So, just to confirm, the test of the e-mail follow up would have in fact been sent to the prospect from earlier this year?
