Hello! I have connected Interact (quiz submission) and LeadConnector (create new contact) but would like it to take a step further by adding a tag to the contact in LeadConnector based on the Interact quiz result. How can I do this? Thanks!

Hey there @AID! 👋

How did things go with Troy’s suggestion of using a filter or paths? Did you manage to get the Zap adding a specific tag based on the quiz result?

Want to make sure you’re all set with this so please keep us updated on how it went. Happy to assist further if you’re still stuck at all! 🙂

Hello! We upgraded our account to be able to access paths as I think this is the best fit for our needs. Unfortunately, I am still getting stuck at trying to create a path based on a quiz result. I can’t tell if I am going wrong in Interact or in Zapier.

So a lead submits a quiz, this triggers the zap, and then the new lead goes down different paths based on their quiz result. In Zapier the field I can import from Interact is called Tag but is the tag the actual quiz result? Is there a place I am supposed add tags in Interact that I am missing? Thanks for your help!

Actually, now I see the tags are “Interact Quiz Result” or “Interact Quiz Result 2” but how do I know which result that actually is in Interact?

@AID

For us to have more info, we will need screenshots that show the referenced data points returned in the DATA OUT from Step 1 that you are trying to use in the Filter steps.

Screenshots shows dummy data and does not include surrounding context to know where that screenshot came from.

Make sure to test by submitting the lead in Interact.

Then make sure to test Zap step 1 to get current example records to use to configure and test your Zap action steps.

Yes, I test in Interact and then when I search my submission or just press find new records, nothing new comes up just the same leads from September.

Some apps only return representative example records to use to configure your Zap action steps.

Try turning the Zap ON and testing again.

Then check your Zap Runs history details to see the DATA IN/OUT for each step to help you trace the data flow and troubleshoot: https://zapier.com/app/history/

Here is what I find in the results, it does show a tag and the tag is the result title in Interact. When I add it in in the path step, this comes up:

Top screenshot with 2 steps shows a Zap Run.

Bottom screenshots with Paths shows the Zap Editor in EDIT mode.

Bottom screenshot shows an incomplete Zap because Path B is missing an actions step.

Try finishing configuring your Zap and publish it again.

Then test the Zap end-to-end and check the Zap Runs history details to see how it processed.
