When drafting a Zap to a Google Chat Space, the “Title” only becomes part of the ‘card’ in the chat message, but does not become the title of the message itself; the message title is always, “Zap sent by @username”.
During Zap setup, a Title is formatted:
But when it hits Google Chat, the Message always reads, “Zap sent by @username”, which makes it 100% impossible to keep track of Threads:
Please update the Google Chat integration so that the Message is the same as the card Title. If this is possible in an upgraded Zapier pricing tier, please state that in your reply and we will upgrade.
I just came a cross your post here and did some checking and found we have a feature request open for the ability to customise the “Zap sent by @username” text so I’ve added your vote to that. I can’t make any promises as to when it may become possible to change that “Zap sent by...” text but we’ll definitely send you an email notification once it is. There aren’t any workarounds reported at the moment but should I come across any I’ll be sure to share them with you here.
