I’m trying to create a Zap that changes a drop down selection from “SOD Removal” to “LDS”. I can’t figure it out. Any help is appreciated.

I think where I am struggling the most is the utilities. This is what I have so far:

Thank you

Hi @ironman5151

What Zap app action are you trying to use after step 3? (screenshots of field)

Thank you very much for trying to help. Let me see if i can explain better. The primary program is Job Tread. This may be my issue as I wasn’t aware that I needed Step 4 of some action.

I am trying to change this custom drop down field to “LDS” when I click this completed on the project schedule:

I have Zapier working from “task updated” on the above schedule. It seems my issues is figuring out what Zap to use to change the text from “SOD Removal” to “LDS”.

Thank you.

@ironman5151

Try these Zap steps…

NOTE: You likely do not need the Formatter step.

Steps

  1. Trigger: JobTread - Task Updated
  2. Action: Filter
    1. Make sure the filter conditions prevent an infinite loop, because your Zap Step 3 will trigger your Zap Step 1 again
  3. Action: JobTread - Update Task
    1. Map the Task ID from Step 1
    2. Set the custom field to: LDS

@ironman5151

For the Task ID field, the variable value needs to be the ID of the Task from Step 1, which is likely a number or alphanumeric value.
