I have a connection that saves new contacts to google sheets,

what I am trying to achieve is when i update a contact in the google sheets, i want that contact to be updated in xero too,

I think it needs a customer id for it to search in xero, i don't see a lookup option when creating the zap

Hey @AbuH,

I think there is a Xero Action to create/update a contact, see here. Thus, can you not just use the following set up:

  • Trigger: G Spreadsheet - New or Updated Spreadsheet Row
  • Action: Xero - Create/Update contact

Let me know if there are some challenges with matching/finding these users.

Hi @AbuH

Xero has these actions/searches available to try in your Zap.

Xero Find Contact

Xero Create/Update Contact

It does some of the stuff, but does not delete text in the xero address areas

Hi @AbuH!

If you’re looking to update something with a null value (meaning you remove what’s currently there) that’s not something that is possible via Zapier. Some apps have functions that you can use that tells the app you want to delete the value, but I haven’t seen that very often. You could overwrite it with something like a period, or see if adding a space does it (I'm not confident it will).

Thanks nicksimard

Adding a space is worth a try, I'll give that a try
