Question

Trigger Zap for Intercom records in same state for longer than 3 days then send Twilio SMS

Hi Guys,

Just starting off with Zapier.

Wanting to create a zap which triggers when a user record in Intercom sits in a specific state for longer than an expected amount of time (3 days). Hoping to send a pre-determined SMS in Twilio to these users.

Not sure where best to start.

Regards,

Glenn

Hi @glennlee

Check out the available triggers/actions for these 2 apps: https://zapier.com/apps/intercom/integrations/twilio

@Troy Tessalone - Looks like it might not happen out of the box, based on what you sent.

So from what I can tell, there is a product/add-on called Series for Intercom and in that we can set up the logic of what conditions are required before send a data packet to Zapier. We then define the payload data to send in Series and then the webhook URL in Zapier. The URL is then added to Series.

From that point onwards, hoping to get an understanding of Webhooks by Zapier on how to handle the payload and trigger the next action in Twilio.

Hope this makes sense.

Regards,

Glenn

@glennlee

Help articles for Webhooks: https://zapier.com/apps/webhook/help

Really just a matter of mapping data points between Zap steps using the ‘custom’ mapping option: https://zapier.com/help/create/basics/set-up-your-zap-action#set-up-your-action
