Question

Failed to create a track in Spotify: The app returned "404" , "You cannot add tracks to a playlist you don't own"

I don't understand why i cant see any spotify playlist while i do have playlist. Also made special new one for zap. Its also connected. But the playlist option say there no options available.

I want a rss feed to add the tracks from the feed to a playlist to keep up with new songs.

Here is a screenshot of the no options available for playlist

@Punkertje1995

Have you tried creating a new playlist after the Spotify was connected to Zapier?

Check your Spotify Zap app connection: https://zapier.com/app/connections

@Punkertje1995

You may need to make sure it’s a public playlist.

Nothing wrong with the connections. All been set and the playlists are all public. Dont have private ones.

@Punkertje1995

Or you can try getting the Playlist share link to get the Playlist ID.

Then you can try using the ‘Custom’ option to set the static Playlist ID value.

e.g. https://open.spotify.com/playlist/XXXXX?si=yyyyy (Playlist ID is the XXXXX)

@Punkertje1995

Needs to be only the Playlist ID, not the Playlist Share Link.

e.g. https://open.spotify.com/playlist/XXXXX?si=yyyyy (Playlist ID is the XXXXX)

@Punkertje1995

Make sure it’s not a collaborative playlist.

GSearch results for the error:

https://www.google.com/search?q=spotify+"you+cannot+add+tracks+to+a+playlist+you+don't+own"

 i found out that i needed to use my desktop instead mobile.
now i can see the playlists. but what is weird and wanted to ask you.

the rss feed gives me a title of the new song i want in the playlist
but when i add the step for find track in spotify i can give the search query for the rss feed title.
then i need to give track id but when i give the actual id of the good then everytime a new item is added in the feed it generated the same song in the playlist and not the one from the actual rss feed.

Hi there @Punkertje1995,

I just wanted to check if you’re all good here? If not, could you please send a screenshot of the “Action” section that shows all the fields of your Spotify steps? Here’s an example screenshot:

(view larger)

I just wanted to know if everything has been setup correctly so far.

Thanks!
