UnoPim is now available on Zapier — looking for automation use cases

Hi everyone,

We’ve recently added UnoPim to Zapier, making it possible to connect product information workflows with other applications and automate repetitive tasks.

UnoPim is an open-source Product Information Management (PIM) and Digital Asset Management (DAM) platform built on Laravel.

With the new Zapier integration, we're exploring how teams can use automation around product data. Some potential use cases include:

  • Triggering workflows when product information is created or updated
  • Syncing product data with other business applications
  • Automating repetitive product-data operations
  • Connecting product information workflows with marketing, sales, or operational tools

    Looks like you’ve got good set of potential use cases there, I’ll leave it to others with more experience with PIM to comment on what they’d find most useful. Thanks for sharing this, excited to hear what ideas and use cases folks might have!

      One useful approach could be connecting UnoPim with Shopify through Zapier for event-based workflows.

      For example, when a new SKU is added in UnoPim, it could create a copywriting task and send a Slack notification. When a price attribute changes, the corresponding Shopify variant could be updated automatically. Similarly, when a compliance field changes, the responsible data owner could be notified.

      Field-level triggers would make this integration more valuable because the workflow could identify exactly which attribute changed and perform the relevant action.

      Triggers for variant changes, asset updates, product status changes, and completeness updates could also be useful. What other UnoPim-to-Shopify workflows would you like to see?

          The Shopify workflows, especially price/attribute changes, asset updates, and product status changes, are definitely interesting for PIM-driven commerce workflows.

          I also like the idea of field-level change triggers. Being able to identify exactly what changed could make the automation much more targeted and avoid triggering unnecessary workflows.

          We’ll definitely keep these use cases in mind as we continue evolving the UnoPim-Zapier integration.
