Trigger: Asana, New Task in Project

Action: Delay by Zapier, Until the task is due (I think there is like a XX day limitation here)

Action: SMS by Zapier

Hi @Vito!

@Matt  has a great solution here

Trigger: Asana, New Task in Project

Action: Delay by Zapier, Until the task is due (I think there is like a XX day limitation here)

Action: SMS by Zapier

With this, you can keep everything in one Zap, which is super handy.

If you have Asana tasks that will have due dates more than 30 days away, then the delay step might run into some trouble, so here’s another way of doing it:

Zap 1

Trigger: Asana New - task in Project

Action Google Calendar - Create detailed event

Zap 2

Trigger: Google Calendar - Event Start

Action: SMS by Zapier - Send SMS

@Danvers Curious… why the 3-0 day limit on the Delay action by Zapier? Does it really use up that many resources?

Hi @Matt ,

Great question-  it turns out the 30 day limit on the Delay action is due to user Task History only showing up to 30 days. So more of a Task History retention reason vs resource intensity one!

Thanks @Liz_Roberts .

So, please increase Task History to 1 year.
