Zapier Bot Has Discord Permissions but Zap Says It Doesn't

Hi there! I’m trying to set up a Zap so my Twitch followers will get a role automatically on Discord. I made the bot a mod with every permission, and refreshed the pages, but I’m still getting the troubleshooting message.

Hey @Aurora Meloncholy, happy to help here! Mind posting a screenshot of your action step showing how you’ve configured the “username” field? That will give us some insight on if the field was expecting something different than what was entered. I don’t believe this is a permission issue either, especially being as you double-checked everything. Be sure to keep the screenshot free of personally identifiable information and let us know!

Hey thanks so much for answering so quickly! I actually used this template, and even though I was tempted to try messing around with it, I didn’t. I figured I should just contact support.

Then when I try testing it, I get the same errors and advice I already sent screenshots of. Thanks for the help!

Hi @Aurora Meloncholy

When testing, there is “No Data” for the dynamic data point you have mapped for the Username field, hence the error.

Try selecting a different sample record to use from the trigger step: https://zapier.com/help/create/basics/change-the-test-data-in-your-zap-trigger

I just realized I never posted the link, sorry!

Hey that makes so much sense! I didn’t even see the reply. I was wondering why it said that. Thanks for the help!
