We have a zap that takes leads from Google Ads and sends them to Salesforce as a “Lead” record. However, it won’t turn on (or if it does, it turns back off immediately - it’s hard to say). We’ve submitted a ticket and haven’t gotten any responses. There are no errors and I can’t find any documentation about this other than this (pasted below). This isn’t helpful - we have a “Professional Plus Plan” so we aren’t on a free trial. We don’t have any errors (that the zap builder is telling us of anyway) and we’ve tried several times turning on the zap to no avail.

Is there any resolution to this? Do we need to find a different tool?

  • Off: Zaps that are turned off do not actively check for new data or perform actions.
Zapier automatically turns your Zaps off for you in 3 situations:
    • You lose access to a paid feature the Zap uses (e.g., multi-step Zaps or premium apps) due to a trial expiration or plan downgrade.
    • Multiple errors occur each time the Zap tries to run. An email notification will be sent if a Zap is turned off due to errors.
    • You make a change to a trigger or action of the Zap. You will need to turn the Zap back on once you are done editing it.

Hi @Benepath

Check your Zap > Details > Change History for clues.

After a lot of trial and error, we figured it out.  Here’s how you fix it, hope this helps someone else.

If you are getting an error message that contains “A form may only have one webhook and be used in one Zap.”  and you are trying to connect your Google Ads account to a Google Form, check this first.

In your Google Ads account, go to Ads & extensions > Extensions > Lead Form > choose the lead form you are looking to connect to your Zap and click the edit button.

Once in your Google Lead Form, look for the “Lead delivery option” section near the bottom of the setup menu.

After expanding that, look to see if there is a webhook in your “Webhook integration (optional)” section, and if there is, clear it.  Note - you can not connect a Google Form to two or more webhooks.

Once clearing that, also clear the “Key”, and save your changes.  Now when you go back to Zapier, you should be able to set your Zap live and it won’t trigger an error message.

Thanks for coming back to update the thread with your solution, @Benepath! 🎉 So glad you were able to get this sorted.
