Zap test works but not live (Gravity Forms to Job Nimbus)

Subject says it all. Test runs are perfect. The Zap connects to the gravity form, pulls in existing data and pushes it to Job Nimbus. But when we submit the Gravity form on the website, nothing gets through to Job Nimbus. There is nothing in job history.

Hi @Steven Von Dongen

If nothing appears in the Zap’s history, you can use Gravity Forms Webhook add-on and Webhook by Zapier to get this done. In this case, you wont be using Gravity form as your Zap’s trigger, instead use “Webhook by Zapier” as trigger and use the URL generated from Webhook by Zapier in Gravity Form’s Webhook add-on. This will make sure that data is sent to Zapier.

However, I’d recommend you to read the docs first: https://zapier.com/apps/gravity-forms/help

Hi @Steven Von Dongen

Check your Zap Runs: https://zapier.com/app/history/

Are there triggered Zaps?

Are there any errors?

Make sure the Zap is ON.

To answer your questions:

  1. I read all the Gravity documents. (I’m a web developer and have been using Gravity for about 10 years now so I’m proficient in it. I have never run into any integration or Zap problems before. Steven is the owner. I’m here on his behalf.)
  2. There is no history. The only contacts that have come through are the tests we ran in Zapier.
  3. The Zap is on
  4. There are no errors

I am by no means a Zap expert. Never had to be because everything has always worked so I don’t know how to troubleshoot my way around it. What you’re suggesting @robschmidt sounds interesting. Not sure I know enough about Zap to figure out how to do it. But I’ll look. Any more details you can provide?

We’d love to just outsource the work.

@robschmidt I figured out what you were suggesting with the WebHook add-on instead. It worked in the test. Apparently Webhook’s are premium. I”m sure my client will be fine paying it if that’s what it takes. But I didn’t want to make him pay unless I know it actually works from the website first.

@Steven Von Dongen

Make sure you’re using the correct Gravity Form (perhaps there could be others that are similar)

Check to see if there are other WordPress plugins impacting the Gravity Form add-ons.

That’s a good point! Actually, they may be the whole problem. There is another hook that send the data to Hatch, another external app. So test it, we’d have to disable that. He won’t give up Hatch.

The other app, hatch is not a plug in as it has JavaScript in the code
