Hi Everyone,

I am having trouble getting a Zap to re-trigger after a field in SFDC is changed, and then updated again back to the triggering value.

In my case, the automation here is that whenever the “Status” field in the Quotes object shows “In Review”, the Zap should trigger and should go through the process. When a sales rep submits a quote for approval, we have a flow that changes the “Status” to “In Review” - the Zap works perfectly fine the first time (first submission). If the request is rejected (Status changes to “Rejected), the sales rep has the option to fix the quote and resubmit for approval. Once the quote is resubmitted, the “Status” field changes back to “In Review” BUT this time, the zap doesn’t trigger.

I have attached a screenshot of my trigger. Also, I have checked the Zap history logs and it doesn’t show that it even ran.

Can someone please help me out here?

Hi @minesh

Check out this related topic:

@Troy Tessalone Hey Troy, I took a look at that but it doesn’t look there was an answer that fixed the issue/helped a re-trigger. It’s been a year since that related topic was posted so I was hoping there was some update.

I checked the history logs, and it didn’t retrigger at all, let alone an error.

Hoping to get some clarity.

Thanks!

Probably best to open a ticket with Zapier Support for additional guidance: https://zapier.com/app/get-help

@minesh

As a potential workaround, look into using Salesforce Workflow Rules to fire a webhook to trigger a Zap:

The Zap trigger would be Webhook - Catch Hook: https://zapier.com/apps/webhook/help
