Hello,

I have to admit that I know nothing about Zapier. I keep getting emails stating the following…

“ You have 0 task being held.  Just a quick reminder that you still need to fix some issues with your Zapier account. To make sure we don't miss any of your tasks, we're still holding 0 task for at least 1 month, 4 weeks before we start discarding them. Nothing to worry about, though: you won't lose your data from these held tasks if you play them within 1 month, 4 weeks.

During 2024, I reached out to TrustPulse to setup a sales notification widget on my streaming TV/VOD website. The person did everything which included the free Zapier that he said I needed. Whenever my website receives a trial or subscription payment the popup sales notification appears on my site in the right bottom corner to let site visitors see those who have already paid.

All I want to do is continue with everything working as it supposed to that was setup for me, which again I know nothing about Zapier.

My question is...

What am I do about Zapier with the 0 task being held issue?

Is this something I need to be concern about? If so, what must I do?

My free Zapier account login username is, xxxxxxxxx@xxxxxxxx.com

Hi @pbsump, welcome to the Zapier Community 👋

From the message you received, it sounds like Zapier might be currently holding some tasks despite the number mentioned being zero. This typically happens when something in your automation (your “Zap”) temporarily fails — for example, due to a billing issue, a connection error, or a problem with one of the connected apps.

Here’s what I suggest:

  1. Log into your Zapier account: https://zapier.com/app/dashboard

  2. Check if your Zap is turned on and hasn’t been paused due to errors or usage limits.

  3. Visit the Task History page: https://zapier.com/app/history — this will show you if anything has recently failed.

Here’s a great resource that should help you interpret your findings:

Hope this helps!

Hello,

Thanks for replying and providing some insight.

When I logged into my Zapier account, a popup window appears that stats the following…

You've run out of tasks

All tasks from your Zaps will be held until your monthly usage resets.

To turn your Zaps back on, you need to enable pay-per-task billing for tasks beyond your plan's limit.

Additional tasks are billed at a rate of 1.25x the cost of a task on your subscription tier. The base task rate of your current subscription is $0 USD. Each additional task beyond your subscription will cost $0 USD per task.

You can see a full breakdown of your task usage in your task history. If you'd like to update your plan, you can do that now too.

-----

In that popup window, there are two buttons: 1) See Task History; 2) Upgrade Plan

Should I go ahead and pay to upgrade? It’s telling me to pay $29.00 per month.
Or, do I wait until August to end for my monthly usage to reset in September?

My website’s sale notification popup isn’t working properly anymore, so I’m assuming this is the reason.
