Xero and Zapier: Is there a way to attach the PDF added in Xero when using "Send Invoice" function in Zapier?

There seems to be limitation with “Send Invoice via Email” action in Zapier.

  • What I want to replicate is when sending the invoice in Xero there’s an option to send PDF as email attachment on top of the actual Email Invoice provided
  • When this action is used in Zapier, it always leave the PDF attached and just sending the Xero Invoice
  • Aside from “Zapier Email action” Is there other thing that we can do?

Hey ​@AAC,

I think it’s a limitation on the Xero side. You can put in a feature request by contacting the Zapier support here- https://zapier.com/app/get-help.

Some workarounds that I see here that you also mentioned as well is using Email by Zapier action or your email provider like Gmail/ Outlook. Hope it helps!

If you do want to send it with another email tool, you can use a Find Invoice by ID Xero action to retrieve the file, and then pass the Invoice PDF (Exists but not shown) object to the email step as an attachment.
