Hi! 

I’m very new to both zapier and wordpress, so hopefully some of you guys will know this! 

We just launched a new website on wordpress and our website we have a lot of forms - e.g. purchase form, apply for scholarship and so on. Before we went live with the new website every time I tested the forms I got an email with the information from the form in my inbox. However after we went live with the website (and changed hosting) we don't receive emails. Is there any way I get set up zapier so when a form is sent in, it zaps and I receive the information from the form in an email? Or in a google sheet maybe? 

Both are great solutions! 

In the near future we want to change our newsletter service to Active Campaign so if it is not possible to zap to either Gmail or a google sheet an alternative is AC.

What plugin/extension/add-on/app are you using for your forms?

I’m just using the regular wp-template form, but right now i’m also looking into the WP mail SMTP plugin. But I was just wondering if I can do it without this plugin and just the basic form, add a zap and have the information from the form end up in an email.

WordPress is pretty notorious for not being great at sending information via forms (I’ve built many a site using WordPress). I checked your website and it looks like you’re using Divi and its built-in forms. I don’t think their forms offer any integration with third-party apps, or to send data via webhooks (like some of the other WordPress page builders do).

So if you’re serious about gathering info from forms and having it go elsewhere (including emails) you may want to consider one of the apps here: https://zapier.com/apps/categories/forms

JotForm is a great one because you can embed them on a website and they offer a ton of their own integrations and advanced features, if you think you’ll ever need those. 

Gravity Forms is the big name in WordPress forms, but you don’t necessarily need to go with a WordPress-specific solution since many options allow you to embed forms.
