Our website is set up with Wix and I’ve set up a few basic automations to link contact forms into our Monday.com account. These have all been fairly straightforward but I’m really at a loss for how to do anything to try and get an automation set up to go through Dialpad.

Would like to try and set up a Zap where when a client submits a contact form from our website, it will trigger a text message that will come from the main business line thanking them for the contact form and letting them know they can reply directly to that message to communicate with our management team.

Is there a way to do this? And if not to text the client directly, maybe a way to automate a text alert from one of our other dialpad numbers to that main business line that includes the client’s phone number so the manager can reach out to them directly.

Any suggestions or potential workarounds here would be much appreciated!

Hi @pppc4life

These are the available DialPad Zap app triggers/actions: https://zapier.com/apps/dialpad/integrations#triggers-and-actions

You may have to configure that logic within DialPad for when a new Contact is created.

Otherwise, you would need to explore using the DialPad API: https://developers.dialpad.com/reference/smssend

Thanks for taking the time to reply Troy, appreciate it! Looking at the Dialpad API link you sent it looks like it might be possible but I’m not nearly tech savvy enough to follow how to use that. You suggest I follow up with Dialpad for this rather than with Zapier?

@pppc4life

For the DialPad Zap action step, you can try creating a Custom Action with the help of AI.

Hi there @pppc4life 👋

Just checking in here to see how things are going. Were you able to get this sorted by using our AI Builder feature to set up a Custom Action?

Keen to ensure you’re all set so please let us know whether you need any further assistance at all. 🙂
