Will updating a HubSpot contact erase existing data?

If I create a zap to update HubSpot contacts and I only want to update one field in the contact properties, can I leave the rest of the properties blank in my zap, or will that clear the data from HubSpot? I don’t want any of the other properties to change.

Only the fields with data will be updated.
