I am looking at Zapier to connect my clients using Insightly and Square. If they use Zapier, what is their user experience like in terms of a screen. In other words, would they still use Insightly and Square with the same screens and navigation as they do now without Zapier? Or would they be working a new type of screen? Does Zapier work in the background or change their screen use?

Good question.

Think of Zaps as back end bots that work between apps.
