What is the Task count for Google Sheet rows to GoToWebinar?

I need to create a Zap to add new registrants (contacts) to GoToWebinar from a Google Sheet.

If I paste 500 new rows (contacts) in my Google Sheet at one time, does Zapier count this as 1 task or 500 tasks to add these contacts to GTW?

Hi @AwningsAndMore

Article about Tasks: https://zapier.com/help/manage/history/learn-about-tasks-in-zapier

Article about rate limits: https://zapier.com/help/troubleshoot/behavior/rate-limits-and-throttling-in-zapier

NOTE: If you have a large number of items (100+) that trigger a Zap at once, Zapier holds them for you and sends you an email requesting your confirmation.
This helps to prevent a large number of actions from running by mistake and protects your task limit.

Thanks for the reply @Troy Tessalone .

I did read these articles, and I guess my answer is it will cost me 500 tasks for 500 rows added to my Google Sheet.  This will get expensive since my list is closer to 10,000 contacts that I want to import/register in my GTW account.

NOTES:

  1. If you Zap has 1 action step, then that would be 1 Task (if run successfully).
  2. If you Zap has 2 action steps, then that would be 2 Tasks (if run successfully).
  3. etc.

The value proposition of automation:

  1. Save Time
  2. Eliminate Error
  3. Run 24/7

@Troy Tessalone

Thanks for clarifying, that makes more economic sense.  My Zap is only one action step!

So it will only cost me 1 task each time I update my Google sheet (or when the trigger/action runs), whether I add 1 row or 1000 rows at a time.  Correct?

Examples

  1. If your Zap trigger is GSheet New Row, then the Zap will only trigger for new rows
  2. If your Zap trigger is GSheet New/Update Row, then the Zap will trigger for new OR updated rows
    1. NOTE: There are some nuances to this

Say you add 5 rows, that’s 5 Tasks, if your Zap has 1 action step that runs successfully.

Say you add 100 rows, that’s 100 Tasks, if your Zap has 1 action step that runs successfully.

All explained here in the article about Tasks: https://zapier.com/help/manage/history/learn-about-tasks-in-zapier
