Hi, I’m trying to set up a zapier (a purchase on systeme.io > convertkit) but as you can see from the screenshot, there needs be an email. What email do I put? I heard that zapier will pull up past records and we use that specific email (like if someone bought it in the past so we use that person’s email) but its a new program so no one has bought it so where will it pull up the records? What do I put? Thanks!

Use the [+] button to map a variable from a previous step that has a value that represents an email address.
Yes, I’m aware of that. the issue I have is that I don’t think that’s the right record it pulls from (if that makes any sense). The program is new so there’s no sales yet, this zap is for future purchases but I heard that zapier pulls records from past buyers. so what do I do? Let me know if that makes sense or doesn’t haha, I have a hard time explaining it. Thank you (:

Try using the button [SKIP TEST] that should return a representative record for you to use to configure the Zap action steps.

What data points are returned from the Zap trigger step? (screenshot)
It won’t let me skip, attaching an image right now. See how it pulls up records? but the thing is how can it pull up records when no one has bought the program yet so it has no records to pull from. It’s using records from another program. What should I do?

The Zap trigger step records are returned as representative examples to help you configure the Zap action steps.
You can always add a Filter as Step 2 to make sure live Zap Run data is processed as you expect.
