I currently have a zap that routes all inbound form from webflow to my gmail which then sends the respective emails to my clients. Just wondering if there’s any way to configure the zap such that the email that is send to my clients will appear to come from the customer that enters his/her email in the webflow form instead of my gmail. Appreciate any form of workaround for this!

Hi @Jiew Wei

In the Zap, you can configure the From Name (aka masking), but the From Email address will have to be a Gmail email account that you’ve authenticated in Zapier here: https://zapier.com/app/connections

Hi Troy Tessalone, is there a workaround for that as the customers may be using other email providers such as hotmail, etc and there is no way for me to authenticate the customer’s email from my side.

Hi @Jiew Wei

You can’t send emails from email accounts you don’t have access to.

Hi Troy Tessalone

I see, thanks for the help.

Hi @Jiew Wei

The only way you could do it is by adding those email accounts as Gmail Aliases but it would require your customers confirm that it’s okay for you to send emails using their accounts.

Details on Gmail aliases can be found here https://support.google.com/mail/answer/22370?hl=en
