Is it possible to use Google Sheets as our “source of truth” for our entire product catalog? We want to use Google Sheets for all of our product info: photos, SKU, description, bullet points… everything. And then have it go to Amazon every time an update or new row is added. I am tech savvy, so I know I can figure it out with a little guidance or help. I seem to need an API URL - do I have to make an Amazon Developer account to get an API URL? A little lost at this part. Please and thank you for help!

Hi @OSI,

Welcome to the Community.

Yes, you can connect Google Sheets with Amazon to manage your product catalog by using Amazon's API, which requires an Amazon Developer account. You can create the account and request access to Amazon's Marketplace Web Service (MWS) API. Then, enable the Google Sheets API through the Google Cloud Console. Use Google Apps Script to automate data transfers from Google Sheets to Amazon when adding updates or new rows. You'll need to write a script that connects both APIs and test it before deployment. This process requires a solid understanding of APIs and scripting, so hiring a developer may be necessary if you need to become more familiar with these tools.

Hi @OSI 👋

Not sure if you’re already got this figured out but it sounds like you might be wanting to use the API Request action for the Amazon Seller Central app on Zapier, is that correct?

If so, you would not need to create an Amazon developer account as it would use the authentication details for the Amazon account that’s connected to the Zap. For the URL when setting up the request you’d need to use the relevant API endpoint that’s mentioned in Amazon’s API documentation. It’s a bit more of an advanced action but we have a more general guide that you might find useful to review: Set up an API request action

Keen to ensure you’re all set so please keep us updated on how you’re getting on with this. Happy to lend a hand if you’re still stuck at all! 🙂
