URL preview in Google Chat

Hi, I would like to know if it’s possible to send a url (which is an image) to Google Chat with Zapier and allow image preview. Something like below:

Welcome to the Community! 🎉

I'm sorry to inform you that currently, it's not possible to have hyperlinks in the "Message Text" field or have image URL previews and clickable links in the “Create Message in Google Chat” action.

While that's not something the app offers, other users are interested in having something similar, so much that it's already one of our feature requests. I've gone ahead and added your vote for this functionality. While I don't have an ETA on when this feature might be implemented, we will notify you via email if it is!

Meanwhile, Google Chat's in charge of this integration, so it can't hurt to send them a friendly nudge to let them know you'd like to see this feature added. Requests like this always carry a bit more weight when they come from customers rather than us.

      I know this is an old post but since there seems to have been no movement, and this is the only result when searching for links, I wanted to provide a workaround for links that might help others. 

      You can use HTML for links, so to link to zapier.com you can do either 

      <a href=”https://zapier.com”>https://zapier.com</a> Which will display https://zapier.com

      or 
      <a href=”https://zapier.com” >Zapier</a>    Which will display Zapier

       

      Unfortunately using HTML <img> tags does not seem to let you add images.
